Peter R. Bradley III has been acknowledged as one of the top bloodstock agents in America. Pete grew up on a cattle ranch in Northern California and attended the University of California at Davis. Soon his passion for racing would lead him to Hollywood Park, where he got his start, like most, walking hots. He quickly moved through the ranks on the Southern California circuit to become foreman and later assistant trainer to Gene Cleveland, where he worked with horses like Grade I winner Princess Karenda. Pete decided that his ultimate success in the thoroughbred industry would require a move to Kentucky. He accepted a position as farm manager for Brookdale Farm where he continued honing his craft as a horseman. His next step was to explore the business end of the industry. He joined Cromwell Bloodstock Agency and during a four-year association he was in charge of private sales. He was lured away by world-renowned Lane’s End Farm, where he became the head of their Bloodstock Division.
In 1995 Pete opened his own bloodstock brokerage company which covers:
- Public and private sales
- Pinhooking parnerships
- Racing partnerships
- Racehorse management
- Equine appraisals
He has been involved in the purchase and sale of some of the world’s best thoroughbreds year after year. In 2014 he was involved with two Breeders Cup winners in Dayatthespa and Pinhook graduate Lady Eli. Pete Bradley is known for being that rare combination of outstanding horseman and astute businessman. Bradley Thoroughbreds, LLC continues as a top performer in the industry.
