Owner Bio
I'm a New York Bred. Born and raised in Saratoga Springs; on Long Island and working in Manhattan (commercial real estate) the past 20 years. I have been a lifelong passionate racing fan, and was once a decent handicapper. I'm a relatively new owner, and have assembled a small stable among a few partnership groups. I'm a voracious learner, and have immersed myself in all things racing over the past several years, effectively moonlighting for free. My career, and hard work and patience, has enabled me to achieve my dreams of ownership. My friends and family would be surprised to know that I rarely gamble on-track anymore. I'll place a wager on something that really piques my interest, but for me the sport is about the love for the equine athlete, the thunder of the hoofs, the vibrant colors, the morning fog, and the pure adrenaline of the stretch run. It toook me 41 years, but I've found my happy place among the thoroughbreds, and I'm excited for the future. While I would no doubt be thrilled to have a Grade 1 winner, my singular goal remains that elusive photo in the winner's circle at Saratoga.
I am excited to share in my passion with my wife Nina (my college sweetheart), my daughter Madilyn (10) and son Trevor (3). I hope to one day see that gleam in their eye for this sport that has been shining in mine for my entire life. As an owner, I also hope to be able to help grow the sport among a younger crowd and the next generation. This sport has fallen flat in that regard in my opinion and it needs to change.
My other interests include traveling and I am also a competitive triathlete, having finished 2 Ironman races (Ironman Lake Placid 2014 and Ironman US Championship 2012), and I am also a 2-time finisher of the Escape From Alcatraz.
