Horacio Esposito

Biography: 

Horacio Esposito was born on November 8th, 1955 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His expertise is based in Economy and International Commerce. During his early stages of his professional career in Argentina, he played key roles in the Ministry of Commerce, in the Ministry of International Affairs and as advisor to the President of the Economic Commission at the Argentine Senate. Mr. Esposito was also a member of the Board at “Alvarez and Esposito International Trade”, a company in charge of international ventures based in Nairobi, Kenya for 3 years. Back in Argentina, he was the Vice President and C.E.O. of “Galerias Pacifico”, main shopping centre (Sutton´s Group) in Buenos Aires. Later, as C.E.O. he managed four important shopping malls in Argentina for many years (IRSA´s Group). In the early 2000, Mr Esposito joined the Liberman´s group and was appointed member of the Board for the hotel Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo, Brazil and for the Park Hyatt Mendoza Hotel, Spa & Casino in Argentina. He was the Project Leader, C.E.O., and then member of the Board of Maroñas Race Course & Casinos in Montevideo, Uruguay. Also as a member of the Board of The Ascot Group, he represented the Liberman´s Group in Kentucky Downs Racetrack Investment in Kentucky, USA (2008-2019). He was also linked to De La Pomme stud farm owned by the Liberman family. In 2006 he founded and is still member of the Board of LARC, Latin American Racing Channel. The company focuses on broadcasting rights from and to South America. As member of LARC he organized four International Pan American Conferences to promote every aspect of the horse racing Industry: Argentina (2008), Uruguay (2011), and in partnership with the Jockey Club, New York (2015) and Washington (2017). In 2021 he was appointed Vice-President of ARC, American Racing Channel S.A. Since 2010 he has been an advisor for international affairs to OSAF´s Presidents, the main South American Organization representing all the region in the International Horseracing Federation. He is part of the Management Board and the Executive Committee of the IFHA. He has also been involved in different committees. Mr. Esposito owns and breeds thoroughbred horses in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. Another of his interests for many years has been breeding equestrian horses in Argentina
