Jay Privman is the national correspondent for Daily Racing Form, a position he has held since October of 1998 after previously working for the Los Angeles Daily News, The Racing Times, and as a West Coast correspondent for The New York Times. His main area of responsibilities include the Triple Crown -- he has covered every Kentucky Derby since 1982 -- as well as the Breeders' Cup, an event he has covered very year since its very first running in 1984. He also does television work for NBC Sports Network. He lives in Carlsbad, CA, exactly 11 miles from his parking space in the Del Mar media lot.
