Jeffrey R. Bloom
Jeffrey Bloom is a thoroughbred industry veteran for more than 40 years. He was a professional jockey, marketing and media relations consultant and broadcaster in addition to now serving as a racing manager and bloodstock agent. During his riding career, Mr. Bloom raced at many of the major tracks throughout North America including his first race at Del Mar in front of a hometown crowd having grown up in San Diego, CA. After retiring as a jockey, Mr. Bloom became the main workout rider for leading trainers that include Hall of Famer Charlie Whittingham where he was privileged to have worked out countless Grade 1 winners that include 1989 Kentucky Derby winner Sunday Silence.
Following his riding career, he earned a B.S. degree in Financial Services from San Diego State University and his business resume includes a successful venture in corporate business development in the software technology industry. Mr. Bloom founded and runs Bloom Racing Stable, LLC a fully integrated horse racing company that offers portfolio management, bloodstock services, pinhooking and other related investments. Mr. Bloom has selected and managed the careers of numerous stake winners including the 2019 Eclipse award champion and multiple G1 winner Midnight Bisou.
Mr. Bloom is extremely passionate about racehorses and their overall welfare both on and off the racetrack. He is proud to be the President of the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA), a nonprofit organization that provides accreditation and funding for approved aftercare facilities. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for Thoroughbred Owners & Breeders Association(TOBA).
