Lenny Shulman

Biography: 

Lenny Shulman has worked for the Bloodhorse magazine 19 years, the last 17 as its Features Editor, covering big races and writing about the prominent issues and people in Thoroughbred racing. Before joining the Bloodhorse Shulman was a TV and film writer in Los Angeles, winning an Emmy Award in the process. He worked for FOX Sports and also was a comedy writer on several HBO specials and the film “Dice Rules.” For nine seasons he was the head writer and a producer of the popular children’s show “Kids Incorporated.”

Before moving to Los Angeles, Shulman worked on newspapers and magazines in New York, Arizona, and California. He is a graduate of the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University and grew up in the shadow of Roosevelt Raceway in New York, where his love of horse racing had its origins.
