Biography: 

Ms. Moss is an attorney from Des Moines, Iowa. She was a former chief Prosecutor in Polk County, Iowa and is a former partner in a law firm where she specialized in personal injury, discrimination, and victims' rights. She is currently a sole practioneer specializing in Equine Law.

She competed nationally in show jumping for 20 years, having won national championships at Madison Square Garden, the Washington International and many others. She also was a recognized Judge.

She has owned race horses from coast to coast for 15 years, being the only woman to be leading owner in the country for races won in 2006, and being nominated for an eclipse the same year. She has been leading owner at Aqueduct, Churchill Downs, Fairgrounds for the past 5 years, and Prairie Meadows for the past 11 years.

Ms. Moss has won the Grade 1 Spinaway, Grade 3 Schuylerville, and the Grade 3 Eight Bells at Churchill with So Many Ways (2012-2013). She has also won the Grade 2 Churchill Downs (2013) with Delaunay, who has also won the Aristides at Churchill in 2014. She also campaigns Grand Contender who has won the Grade 3 Texas Mile and the Grade 3 Texas Handicap in 2014. Her horse Indian Chant currently holds the track record at Churchill Downs covering six furlongs in 108.4 in also winning the Aristides in 2008.

She has been in the top ten in the United States in both earnings and wins for the past 9 years, from 2006 to 2014.

Ms. Moss is currently concentrating on the protection and retirement of racehorses, and is active in many efforts towards this goal, including President of the retirement facility in Iowa, H.A.R.T.
