The Timonium Race Track at the Maryland State Fair is home to Live and simulcast Thoroughbred Horseracing
The Maryland State Fair is home to a 5/8th mile oval, which overlooks scenic York Road. Live thoroughbred horseracing and simulcast racing begins Friday, August 26, 2016 and runs through Monday, September 5, 2016. Post time is 1pm. Admission to the racetrack is included in the admission price of the fair.
The Fair can be accessed by taking Interstate-695 to Interstate-83 North and exiting at either Timonium Road or Padonia Road. The track can also be reached by light rail from either downtown Baltimore or from Hunt Valley, Maryland.
Hightopps Grandstand Grill will be open from 11am to 5pm and is located in the Racetrack Grandstands.
Thoroughbred racing was first held at Timonium race track in1887 during the State Fair.
