Bona Venture Stables

Established in 2005, Bona Venture Stables offers share-based horse racing partnerships. With Bona Venture Stables, you can participate in the heart-pounding, pulse-racing thrill of professional ownership at a fraction of the total cost! We maintain a stable of 8 to 12 horses racing in Florida, Kentucky, New York, and in races from maiden claiming to graded stakes to the Breeders' Cup Championships. Regardless of the track, the value of the race, or the horse - we always maintain our philosophy of racing as friends. Bona Venture Stables is managed by Dan Collins, a life-long racing fan who spent time covering the racing scene in Saratoga Springs, NY for The Saratogian newspaper. Dan has more than 15 years experience as a thoroughbred owner, breeder and manager of Bona Venture Stables racing partnership. We employ three New York trainers: Leah Gyarmati, who specializes in our New York bred horses and races year-round in New York; George Weaver, who is based at the Oklahoma training track at Saratoga and runs in New York and Florida; and Jeremiah Englehart at Finger Lakes Race Track. Each spring Bona Venture Stables offers share-based ownership in new racing prospects. The horses are available as separate limited liability corporations, each offering 10 full-share ownership opportunities. BVS retains a minimum of 20% ownership of each horse. The remaining shares can be purchased in 10% and 5% increments. The purchase price includes all normal training expenses during the purchase year.
